Due to popular demand the exhibition outlining the fascinating history of Spike Island  currently running in The Heritage Centre in Cobh has been extended until the end of August. The  joint Cork Harbour Islands Project (C.H.I.P.)/Cork County Council Exhibition is sponsored by Port of Cork .  It features the history of this unique island in both word and photographs and is a snapshot of the people that both worked and lived on Spike over the years.  It is well worth a visit.
