On Saturday 28th August the Rogerstone Brass Band from near Newport in South Wales gave an excellent two hour concert in the Promenade in Cobh in glorious sunshine. The band under the musical directorship of Jamie Jones are currently First Section Welsh Champions and delighted an ever increasing audience with a selection of favourites that included New York, New York, Hello Dolly and ironically Singing in the Rain!

The band were on a four day visit to Ireland and later on Saturday performed a concert in Mitchelstown and played two concerts on Sunday in Tipperary Town.
